It takes a strong, motivated team to renovate a 136,000 sf 14-story, 174-unit residential tower built by the Charlotte Housing Authority in 1968. Tyler 2 Construction wanted to recognize the continued dedication of the Edwin Towers team.  What better way to do that than with food?

On Friday, May 23rd, Tyler 2 hosted a Subcontractor Appreciation cookout at the Edwin Towers jobsite.  Our valued subcontractors’ field and office personnel were invited to the cookout; as well as the owner’s, design team’s, and consultant’s offices.

Kathryn Buchanan, the Project Manager, explained the motivation behind the event: “We have a fabulous team of subcontractors at Edwin Towers and we really wanted to thank them for their hard work.   Although the renovation of Edwin Towers is a challenging project the subcontractors have all worked together and we could not do it without them.”

In total, Tyler 2 Construction served over 100 hot dogs and 160 burgers to the approximately 150 attendees.

John Christian, Tyler 2 Superintendent for the project, added, “We have an outstanding team out here at Edwin Towers with a very challenging schedule.  I just wanted to show them how much we appreciate them with lunch cooked by our management team.”
